There’s been a lot, (A LOT!) to take in, in 2017. No matter where you are in the world there have been things that have affected us all – from changes to losses in the music community to things that have touched our lives personally. We hope 2017 was a fruitful year for you, for your music, for your loved ones and for your community.

As we remember 2017, we’ll remember our showcases in Austin during SXSW. It was our first year at a new venue – Whisler’s – and we weren’t sure how it was going to go (one never knows until your full swing). It ended up being a fantastic year full of amazing performances and artists. We’re now gearing up for 2018 at Whisler’s (submissions are open until 2/1/18) and know it’s going to be an awesome year. We have the best sound engineer and the most well run event you’ll find in Austin during that crazy time!

We did a label showcase in June for an A&R rep for Red Bull records and AM Management. Nevrlands was one of the bands that played. As a direct result of that show, they’ve signed to a label deal at Eleven Seven Music and they’re being managed by Rene Mata and Benji Madden – you can read all the details here

Another label showcase took place at Pianos this winter where we had a rep from Atlantic. It was a fantastic line up and the rep was really into what you guys showed her. The next label showcase will probably be in May….

We had so many submissions for everything from commercials, to movies, to media projects and everything in between – we look forward to continuing to offer opportunities like these and more in the coming year.

Coming in 2018, obviously more opportunities for you and your music – that goes without saying. We’re actively pursuing relationships with new music supervisors, directors and media channels. We’re also looking to add more showcases in new areas – maybe Nashville….A new referral program is being created so you can earn credits to use for any opportunities you’d like and we’re about to implement an additional payment platform so PayPal is not the only option.
