It seems that some of the submission instructions
have been overlooked, so I have set up a checklist for you to go over before
submitting:

SUBMISSION
INSTRUCTIONS:
Here
are the latest submissions. In order to submit for these projects, please email
alexia@musicgorilla.com the
title of the submission, the name of the song(s) you are submitting,
Band/Artist name and attach the mp3(s) to the email. Please make sure that
the music you are submitting is appropriate for the submission and that the song(s)
are on MusicGorilla.com. If the song is not what the supervisor is asking
for, it will not be submitted.
Due to
the high profile nature of some of these submissions, it has become necessary
for our music editor to screen certain submissions in order for the Music
Supervisors to continue accepting material from Music Gorilla. Also, in certain
instances there is a limit to the amount of material we can send, these
submissions will also be screened. All screened submissions will be noted.

- Newsletter Submissions: We
want to promote you! If you have news, please send it to us for possible
inclusion in our newsletter. We love telling everyone about our artists
accomplishments, send us your news and it may end up in the monthly newsletter
that goes out to our entire email list.

Gorilla has confirmed our venue for next years showcases to take place during
SXSW in Austin, TX. This means we can already begin accepting
submissions! Here are some things you should know:
These
showcases are INDEPENDENT of SXSW, in other words, they are NOT official
showcases (not that it matters).
Each
performer will receive written feedback from a MAJOR LABEL A&R rep
Past
A&R reps have been with Virgin Records, Capitol Music Group, Sony, Epic and
others.
The
shows will take place March 18th – 22nd,
2009
Why

band/artist name, genre and where you are from. We will notify the selected
artists by February 12th, 2009.

MUsicGorilla.com into its catalogue! As many of you know, the Music Supervisors
for MTV first look to the catalog of already cleared material that MTV has in
order to find music for their original programming. Now, due to our
relationship with MTV, MusicGorilla.com artists will be considered for this
catalog. If selected your music will be in the running for placement on MTV! All
MusicGorilla.com clients will be considered, and this will be an ongoing
opportunity. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY, ALL

SUBMISSION 1 – “Fifth Form” Indie Feature Deadline: 2/15/09 Limit – 2 songs per submission.
Dark
comedy about a prank war that divides a small boys' dorm at a prep school
during the First Gulf War, is several months into post-production. The film has
been sponsored by the non-profit San Francisco Film Society and has been
financed by donations. Though the budget is small it's a period film about
teenage boys and need music that sounds like it is from mid-80s to the early 90s.
SEEKING: Looking for several songs
from independent and unpublished artists. The following cues are needed.
(1). A slow Replacements style rock love song;
(2). An XTC or New Order style song;
(3). A song that sounds like Green era R.E.M.
(4). Rush style prog rock
(5). Alternative rock with female singer - like Concrete Blonde;
(6). A country blues jam - like the Allman Brothers
SCREENED - SUBMISSION 2 – “Degrassi: Next Generation” – TV Series Deadline 2/3/09 – Limit 2 songs/artist
Multi-Award winning long running show now in its 7th year. Created

Featuring Miriam McDonald ("Poison Ivy: The Secret Society"-TVM,
"Devil's Diary"-TVM, "The Poet"), Shane Kippel ("Life
With Derek"-TVS, "Todd And The Book Of Pure Evil"), Cassie
Steele ("Instant Star" - TVS, "The Best Years" - TVS,
"Full-Court Miracle" - TVM).
SYNOPSIS: The next generation
chapter of successful series based around Degrassi High School. Students continue to
deal with the obstacles of being a teenager. Strong issues are tackled
including relationship problems, homosexuality and bullying to rape, teen
pregnancy, losing family members, drug abuse, bullying, puberty, and child
abuse.
SEEKING: Teen rock and
hip hop with relevant lyrics expressing concerns for today's young people. Be
aware of Network TV constraints on strong lyrical content.

SYNOPSIS: "Kings" is an

brave young soldier, rescues the king's (Golden Globe winner Ian McShane, ) son
from enemy territory, he sets events in motion that will finally bring peace.

moved into town, crushing the local economy. Josh's father has concluded the
family will have to move in with momŠbut Marley can't come! Determined to save
his family, home, and Marley, but having no clue how to do it, Josh's perfect
summer will seemingly end in disaster, until one day. Marley digs up a golden
medallion with directions on it to a fabled local treasure of gold left behind
by the Conquistadors. Together with Ana(Courtney Biggs), the cute and spunky
new girl in town, they set out into the deep woods to find the riches. But also
on the treasure hunt are Wade(Steve Guttenberg) and Scarecrow, two no-account
hoodlums already wanted by the local authorities. They will stop at nothing to
claim the loot for themselves and then split before the cops can catch onto
them. But as nefarious as Wade and Scarecrow prove to be, they're no match
for the cunning defensive tactics of Josh, Ana and Marley, who continually, and
comically, thwart the devious ne'er dowels' attempts to snatch the bountiful
fortune. Aside from combating the dastardly criminal duo, Josh and company have
to contend with an array of fantastical booby traps, a twisting, seemingly
never ending forest, and a cavern rife with perilous calamities! Along the way
Josh learns that getting rich doesn't solve everything and that true friendship
and understanding peoples' differences is a more direct path to harmony and
happiness.
