Hi All,

It seems that some of the submission instructions have been overlooked, so I have set up a checklist for you to go over before submitting:

 

♪ Is the song you’re submitting on your profile page at www.MusicGorilla.com?

♪ Have you attached the MP3?

♪ Is the song appropriate for the submission?

 

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

Here are the latest submissions. In order to submit for these projects, please email alexia@musicgorilla.com the title of the submission, the name of the song(s) you are submitting, Band/Artist name and attach the mp3(s) to the email. Please make sure that the music you are submitting is appropriate for the submission and that the song(s) are on MusicGorilla.com. If the song is not what the supervisor is asking for, it will not be submitted.

 

Due to the high profile nature of some of these submissions, it has become necessary for our music editor to screen certain submissions in order for the Music Supervisors to continue accepting material from Music Gorilla. Also, in certain instances there is a limit to the amount of material we can send, these submissions will also be screened. All screened submissions will be noted.

 

ONGOING - Newsletter Submissions:  We want to promote you! If you have news, please send it to us for possible inclusion in our newsletter. We love telling everyone about our artists accomplishments, send us your news and it may end up in the monthly newsletter that goes out to our entire email list.

Showcase Submissions:

Music Gorilla is currently accepting submissions for our next Live Label Showcase. The Showcase will take place at The Annex in NYC on October 15th, 2008. Each performing artist/band will receive written feedback from an A&R rep from J/RCA Records! The time slots for this showcase are 20 minutes.

In order to be considered, please confirm that you are AVAILABLE on that day, and email the following information to Alexia@MusicGorilla.com

Music Gorilla has confirmed our venue for next years showcases to take place during SXSW in Austin, TX. This means we can already begin accepting submissions! Here are some things you should know:

These showcases are INDEPENDENT of SXSW, in other words, they are NOT official showcases (not that it matters).

Each performer will receive written feedback from a MAJOR LABEL A&R rep

Past A&R reps have been with Virgin Records, Capitol Music Group, Sony, Epic and others.

The shows will take place March 18th – 22nd, 2009

SUBMISSION 1 – “Kid Cannabis” HBO Feature Deadline: 10/9/08 Limit – 2 songs per submission.

Featuring Chris Marquette ("Alpha Dog", "Graduation" - TVM, "Huff"-TVS), Cam Gigandet ("The O.C." - TVS, "The Young And The Restless" - TVS, " Mistaken" - TVM), Aaron Yoo  ("The Bedford Diaries" - TVS, "Disturbia", "American Pastime"), Brandon Hardesty ("Bart Got A Room").
 SYNOPSIS: A drama based on the true story of Nate Norman, a 19-year-old Idahoan who grew a multi-million dollar marijuana operation by smuggling the herb into the U.S. from British Columbia.
Marquette plays the title character and Gigandet is his best friend, running marijuana from Canada into Idaho and making a killing. The feds eventually are alerted to the scheme, and the two realize they might be in over their heads.

 SYNOPSIS: Drama based on the true story, written by the son, of a serial bank robber of over 50 banks in the New York city area, often with his unsuspecting family waiting in the car. 

 SEEKING: Hip hop vibe with lyrics that talk about robbing, shooting, guns etc.
