| In order to qualify as an industry member you must be: A Representative Of A Company Which Specializes In The Recording, Recording Distribution And Representation Of Musical Artists And/Or That Has The Expertise, Ability, Industry Contacts, And Resources To Sign Musical Artists Or Use Artist Compositions In Recordings, Radio, Television, Motion Pictures, Live Performances, Print, Or Other Media.
An example of current industry members on musicgorilla.com include representatives of: Geffen, Jive, RCA, Lava, Reunion/Essential, American, Black Rose Productions, Casanova Records, DreamWorks, Miramax and other high level companies.

You will see how many times each song was listened to and recommended. The most highly recommended songs will be displayed on the “Gorilla Chart”. Additionally, the top recommended artist on the site will be on the Home Page as the “Featured Artist”. Each genre will also have a “Featured Artist” so that you can see which artist is most popular within any given genre. Fans can only recommend songs once in order to keep these figures accurate and useful to the industry.

Yes. The Industry members are the only members allowed to download music. All we ask is that if you download a song, you agree to listen to it. If you do not listen to a downloaded song, please notify us, so that we can keep our records accurate and not mark something as heard, when it has not been heard by an industry professional.

Yes, we will take each request into consideration individually. But, in general, when requested via email or phone, we will make you a cd of certain songs and send it.

| Go to your “My Gorilla” page and click on “My Profile” on the top left. You will be able to edit all of your info, as well as, change your password and add or delete genres that you are interested in.

| The stars next to each song are the average rating of that song. When you listen to a song, and recommend it, you have the option of giving it between 1 and 5 stars. Here is the basic meaning for each star:
1 Star = Not my cup of java
2 Stars = you’re onto something, keep at it
3 Stars = Yeah, I’m feelin’ it
4 Stars = A diamond in the rough
5 Stars = Excellent!!
